Kenwood Forest II has approximately 10 one bedroom condos located on Hillandale and Offutt . Each condo has a private entrance with front patio, washer and dryer and lots of storage space! Each has a galley kitchen with a window and room for a small table. Many of the owners keep a table and chairs or a grill on the private patio in front. Bring Fido since Kenwood Forest is pet friendly and these units provide easy access to the outside. They are also appealing because there are very few steps to enter the front door and parking is nearby. These homes have been selling around $360,000 in 2024. If you are looking for a pied a terre in Bethesa/Chevy Chase, this is it!
The Potomac model is only found in Kenwood Forest I. With over 1750 square feet, three bedrooms and two and a half baths plus a den on the first floor, this model has room for everyone. When you add a basement to this model, the home is as large as many single family homes. Some owners have removed the wall between the den and the kitchen, making it a very large area with room for a small sitting area or a breakfast room. Your home! Your choice. These properties have been selling over $1.1 million in 2024 depending on condition.
The Greentree model is approximately 950 square feet of living space. With a tablespace kitchen (but no dining room) and a separate living room with fireplace and French doors to a deck or Juliet balcony, this two bedroom two and a half bath is perfect for a small family, empty nester or pied a terre. These units are only in Kenwood Forest II and have been selling in the mid 600's in 2024 Some of these units have a full basement, which many owners have updated by adding a third bath and a bedroom, making the total living space about 1300 sq ft.
The Mulberry model home has three bedrooms and two and a half baths on two or three levels. The kitchen has enough room for a small bistro table. There is a separate dining room and a formal living room with a fireplace. These units have French doors from the dining room opening to a private deck. A Mulberry unit sold for $770,000 in September 2022 and they are selling between $835,000 and $885,000 in 2024 - depending on location and condition. Any unit that backs to Norwood Park commands a premium price.
